After you send

Once your client has the link, Finishwork tells you when they open it, what they ask, and when they're ready. You mark the job won or lost when you know.

When they open it

You’ll see it on the proposal’s page, on Home, and in the envelope icon at the top of every screen. Opened means the link was loaded, not that every page was read, and a forwarded link counts too. We don’t tell you where they were or what device they used.

When they ask a question

If you turned questions on for the link, your client can tap Ask a question on their copy, then tap the line they want to ask about.

On the client's phone: a question being typed about the Demolition line

The question shows up on Home under From your clients, with the line it’s about.

The questions from your client on the proposal's page, with Done and Delete

Answer the way you normally would, by phone, text or email. Replies don’t go through Finishwork. Click Done to take a question off your list. Your client isn’t told. Delete removes it from their link too. In the editor, a line with a question has a ? beside it.

When they’re ready

Your client’s link has an I’m ready to move forward button. Nothing is signed. It just lets you know, so give them a call. The proposal’s page then offers Mark it won.

Mark it won, lost or on hold

On the proposal’s page, click the status next to its name, like Sent ▾, and choose what happened.

The Projects list groups jobs by what happened to them: open, won, on hold and lost. Once a job is won, you can send the client a welcome guide.
