How Finishwork works

Your job, in your words or your estimate — out the other side, a polished proposal in your brand.

Every job gets a project, and its proposal lives inside it. Here is the whole road from an empty project to a client reading your proposal on their phone.

The road

what you do what Finishwork does
  1. Start a projectOne job, one place.

Opens a proposal in your brand, already carrying your standard pages.

  2. Bring the workDescribe it in your own words, upload the estimate you already made, or start from your template.

Drafts the pages around it. An imported price is carried over exactly as written, checked word for word.

    Bringing in your estimate
  3. Make it yoursReword anything, swap the photos, add or reprice a line.

Keeps the math straight while you type.

    Changing a price
  4. Say it's readyNothing interrupts you before this.

Checks it over first — one short list of anything worth a second look.

    The check, and sending it
  5. Send itA private link, a PDF for the table, or an email from here.

Shows you when it's been opened.

Your client opens a private link on their phone — no login, no app, nothing to install. The same pages print to a PDF whenever you want a copy for the table.

How do I…

What’s in a proposal →Every page, what it’s for, what fills it, and where you change it.Where the words come from →Three sources, one document — and why an edit here never changes anything there.Reading the editor →Every mark on the editing page, named — the margin controls, the grey text, the little ƒ.

The pricing promise

Every number on a proposal has an accountable author — and it’s never the machine. Import an estimate and each price is carried over exactly as written, checked word for word against your file. Draft from scope notes and the draft uses only the prices you gave it. AI writes narrative and lays out pages; it never originates a price. And every price stays yours to change, any time, in the editor.

We set it up with you

Your brand, your template, and your standard pages are set up with you when you join — a working proposal from day one, not a blank screen. Want anything renamed, restyled, or reworded later? Change it yourself under Company and the Library, or tell us and we’ll set it right.
